Bag It & Go (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides pre-bagged household waste collection services within selected areas of County Durham.

We operate as a registered waste carrier in accordance with UK environmental legislation.
2. Our Service
We collect securely tied black bin bags containing household waste from residential properties within our service area.
We:

Collect pre-bagged household waste only

Transport waste to licensed waste facilities

Act solely as a waste carrier
We do not open, inspect, sort, or alter the contents of any bags.
3. Customer Responsibilities
By booking our service, you confirm and agree that:

All waste is standard household waste only.

All waste is fully sealed inside black bin bags.
-
No loose items are included.
-
Each bag does not exceed 15kg in weight.
-
Bags are safely accessible at the agreed collection time.
-
Waste is placed outside the property boundary (we do not enter homes).
-
You are the lawful occupier of the property or have authority to arrange collection.
You remain legally responsible for the contents of all waste provided for collection.
4. Prohibited Waste
We do not collect the following (non-exhaustive list):

Hazardous waste
-
Asbestos
-
Chemicals or paint
-
Electrical items (WEEE)
-
Batteries
-
Clinical or medical waste
-
Sharps
-
Gas cylinders or gas bottles
-
Liquids or oils
-
Flammable or explosive materials
-
Soil, rubble, plasterboard or construction materials
-
Commercial, trade or business waste
-
Any illegal or controlled substances
If prohibited waste is discovered:

We reserve the right to refuse collection.

No refund will be issued.
-
We may report illegal materials to the relevant authorities.

Any additional disposal costs, fines or penalties incurred may be recoverable from you.
5. Waste Carrier Status
We operate solely as a registered waste carrier under the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
We do not:

Process waste
-
Treat waste
-
Provide waste management services beyond transport
All collected waste is transported to licensed waste facilities.
6. Booking & Payment

All bookings must be made via our website.
-
Payment is required in advance.
-
Prices are displayed per bag.
-
Discounts apply automatically where stated.
A booking is confirmed once payment has been successfully processed.
7. Cancellations & Refunds
You may cancel your booking up to 24 hours before the scheduled collection time for a full refund.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before collection may not be refunded.
No refund will be issued if:

Waste is non-compliant
-
Bags exceed weight limits
-
Waste is inaccessible at the agreed time
-
Prohibited materials are included
8. Access & Failed Collections
You are responsible for ensuring:

Bags are accessible.
-
The collection location is safe.
-
There are no obstructions.
If we are unable to collect due to lack of access, unsafe conditions, or non-compliance, the booking may be cancelled without refund.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the booking.

We are not liable for undisclosed or misrepresented waste contents.

We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses.

We are not responsible for enforcement action resulting from unlawful waste supplied by you.
Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bag It & Go against any claims, losses, penalties, fines, damages, or disposal costs arising from:

Your breach of these Terms

Inclusion of prohibited or illegal waste

Misrepresentation of waste contents
11. Service Area
Our services are limited to postcodes within approximately 10 miles of Spennymoor.
We reserve the right to refuse bookings outside our service area.
12. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform services due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

Severe weather
-
Road closures
-
Vehicle breakdown
-
Government restrictions
13. Data Protection
We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR.
Customer information is used solely for:

Booking management

Regulatory compliance
-
Legal record keeping
We retain booking and waste transfer records for regulatory purposes.
